Stripped Clean In The News

I've been very honored to have the media pay quite a bit of attention to me and my cleaning. Always reporting about me in a very favorable light, I've been pleased to see the degree of interest that Stripped Clean continues to attract.

On several radio stations there have been brief mentions of me. But below I've listed the major items that have specifically covered me and my erotic cleaning.

Costumes

While many clients enjoy having me work totally nude, I do have requests for various costumes. Here I am putting on my most popular costume, the loincloth.

MEDIA ATTENTION

The very first happened in 1998 just a few months after I began doing erotic cleaning. The West End Times, now known as The Courier Downtown Edition, ran a half-page article with the focus on how Stripped Clean was an offspring of my traditional cleaning company Men Cleaning.

Almost simultaneously The Westender ran an article in their weekly column about people with unusual careers. This interview-style item created from a telephone conversation covered about half a page complete with a photo.

Right around Christmas 2001 Vancouver Magazine came out with an article about maid services. Written by Deborah Campbell who had spent more than an hour interviewing me over coffee one afternoon, I was honored to note that there were two full paragraphs specifically dedicated to discussing me in the article--more than that given to any of the other cleaners mentioned.

In February 2002 CTV News contacted me wishing to conduct an interview combined with the cleaning of a home so they could interview the client. Reporter Brent Gilbert along with a camera man were very gracious and professional in the three hours we spent together with the clients. This ended up being a 2 minute and 27 second segment on the 6:00 News Hour, which got a lot of attention since a bite of it had been used as the 'teaser' all day long.

Later the same month JRFM New Country Radio very kindly invited me to do their morning show, 6:30 am - 8:00 am. Clay St. Thomas and Karen Daniels were incredibly fun and relaxing to be with. I was thrilled at how much microphone time they gave me during the 90 minutes I was in the studio. It was very kind of them.

In October 2002 a group of senior film students from BCIT planned to create the pilot for a new TV-magazine show focusing on individuals with unique and unusual lives. They asked if I would be in that pilot to which I readily agreed. Filming commenced mid-October and while I wasn't able to be at the screening I'm told it was a smash hit.

The middle of December, 2002 I got a phone call from Joey Case at Shaw Cable asking if I'd be willing to have them do a profile on me. After speaking with the reporter for a couple minutes to ensure he wasn't looking for something sensationalistic I was happy to agree, so the next week they came and filmed for a couple hours. The finished segment that aired was a few brief minutes, but they showed it about 8 times a day for a solid week, as well as several times intermittently since then.

In May, 2003 I was contacted by the online male erotica magazine Hotsapien requesting an interview with me. After ensuring it would be handled without sensationalism I happily agreed and was the feature story of the month for June. They have since archived the story but offered me the right to reproduce their interview which I have done HERE.

In October, 2003 (coincidentally while I was on vacation in Seattle) I got a phone call very early one morning. Not surprising since there's a two hour time difference from WNOU radio in Indianapolis, IN. The morning show hosts Wank & O'Brian informed me I was live on the air with them. I thanked them for their call then said I declined to speak further and said goodbye. Later that day I sent them an email noting I'd be happy to talk with them but not without first chatting with them off-air. They never responded but from emails and feedback in my guestbook it's aparent that they continued talking about me after I'd hung up in the morning.

There has been much, much more from locations worldwide in the years since then. I've stopped trying to track it. At one point in about 2005 it would have been a full time job to do so. I was getting so much coverage that my web site was getting upwards of 800 visitors every day. Unfortunately I wasn't prepared for that and it caused an unrecoverable crash of my guestbook. (One of these days I must get around to fixing it!)
